The Region Kristiansand Inter-Municipal Political Council consists of the six municipalities: Birkenes, Iveland, Kristiansand, Lillesand, Lindesnes and Vennesla.

With its 175,000 inhabitants, over 55 % of Agder’s population resides in this region, making it the largest residential and work area between Oslo and Stavanger in Norway.
